Hi! My name is Jess and I was born and raised here in Park City. When I am not parked in your driveway, you can find me skiing, biking, camping, hiking, traveling, grooving to live music and spending as much time with my husband and two young sons as I can!
I have always loved animals and started professionally grooming early 2005. I studied over 300 hours with a master groomer learning how to groom and work with dogs. Under her watchful eye, I was even able to assist in grooming for show in the terrier group. Yes, this means I can strip :-) . I shadowed for an additional 30 hours with a local vet to learn more about the inner workings of dogs and how to spot lumps and growths while identifying common ailments like hot spots, ear infections, abrasions, cysts, etcetera. I opened Groomin’ On The Go November 01, 2005!
Since then, I have groomed over 30,000 dogs and counting! So it is safe to say, I have seen it all.
So far, my career has taken me to pet photo shoots, working for celebrities & athletes, been the “in house” groomer for high end resorts like Montage Deer Valley, groomed for the Sundance Film Festival, written editorials, operated a large scale salon & a fleet of mobile rigs, prepped for the show ring, helped dogs get adopted and giving back to my community through PCHS Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund/Mountain Town Music, KPCW/YoungLife.
Now, I am a one woman show, serving Park City’s finest (albeit hairiest) residents!
I love what I do and am absolutely stoked to be able to do it in the town I love. I hope to continue to serve Park City families for many more years to come. Cheers.
